Traditional folk customs of our ancestors connected with celebrating the arrival of spring in the Valašsko region will come to life during the beloved event Easter at the Castle, held on Sunday, March 22 throughout the entire Vsetín Castle परिसर. The Museum of the Valašsko Region has prepared a rich program full of traditions, crafts, delicious treats, and other Easter-themed entertainment.
In the morning, you can enjoy music by accordionist David Dorňák. The afternoon folklore program will be performed by the renowned Vsetín ensemble Vsacan. You will have the opportunity to braid your own traditional Easter whip (tatar) or decorate Easter eggs. Pastry students from the Secondary Vocational School of Josef Sousedík will bake fragrant traditional Easter buns (jidáše) on site, and you can also enjoy many other sweet and savory regional specialties. For children, we have prepared a popular Easter quest game and creative workshops. The event will conclude with the traditional carrying out and drowning of Morana (the symbolic effigy of winter) in the Bečva River.
We look forward to seeing you!
