The Museum of the Moravian Wallachia Region is launching the 7th annual competition for amateur photographers titled Wallachia – My Home. Capture the nature of Wallachia, the lives of its people, or the local culture, customs, and traditions with your camera. The submission deadline is July 31, 2026. Attractive prizes await the winners. The most successful photographs will be exhibited at Vsetín Castle.

CATEGORIES

1. Adults – Nature (landscape, animals, flowers, insects)

2. Adults – People and Culture (buildings, people, customs and traditions)

3. Children under 15 – Open category (photographs from Wallachia)

CONDITIONS

The competition is open to amateur photographers only. Photographs must be taken in the Wallachia region. Each participant may submit a maximum of 5 photographs.

in sufficient print resolution (minimum file size 1.5 MB), or as printed photographs in A3 format to:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JULY 31, 2026

The best photographs, as selected by an expert jury, will be exhibited at Vsetín Castle from September 18, 2026 to January 17, 2027. Attractive prizes are prepared for the top three contestants in each category.
