The Valašsko region is an inspiring place not only for painters, but also for sculptors and designers. Accept our invitation to the romantic space of the Winter Garden at Kinský Castle and come get to know them! We begin by introducing the sculptor and designer from Valašské Meziříčí, Ambrož Špetík (1921–2005).

Ambrož Špetík was an outstanding portraitist with a strong sense of monumentality and a refined sense of humor, preserved, for example, in a series of sculptural humoresques caricaturing artists and prominent figures of the Valašsko region. He designed several devices for the company Tesla, but otherwise devoted himself to independent artistic work. In Valašské Meziříčí, visitors can see his Monument to F. Palacký and the Madonna placed in a niche of the Krásno Town Hall. In the Winter Garden, his work is presented through two wooden sculptures of glassmakers, created in the 1950s for the then glassmaking town of Valašské Meziříčí.
