What is hidden in astronomy in the famous work of the famous Jan Neruda? And what unsuspected predictions has this great man of our literature made? Not only these questions will be answered by a lecture by a well-known figure in Czech science Jiří Grygar entitled The Eighth Muse of Astronomy, which he will offer you in Sunday, June 6 Museum of the Moravian Wallachia Region at Vsetín chateau.

RNDr. Jiří Grygar, Csc is an astronomer and astrophysicist who became famous as popularizer of science in the field of astronomy, astrophysics and relationship science and beliefs. He is a member of many scientific organizations and has won several awards, which include, for example, the highest award of the Czech Astronomical Society František Nušl Award or UNESCO Kaling Award for contribution to interpretation the role of science in the service of society, the enrichment of its cultural heritage and solving human problems. The asteroid was also named after him (3336) Grygar.

He will come to the audience at the Vsetín chateau with his successful lecture The Eight the muse of astronomy, in which he points out the great works of the poet Jan Neruda and other artists who have intervened in astronomy, and conversely astronomers who they interfered in artistic matters.
